As a key member of our Development team, you'll craft compelling grant proposals that align with our strategic goals. You'll collaborate with program directors to translate complex projects into fundable narratives, ensuring compliance with funder requirements while maintaining our 95% grant retention rate. Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports tailored to diverse funders
- Collaborate with program teams to gather and refine project information and impact data
- Manage grant application pipeline and ensure timely submission with zero compliance errors
- Build relationships with program officers and maintain funder communication calendars
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations for grant portfolio growth
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and produce monthly funding reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, etc.) with 5+ years grant writing experience
- Proven track record of securing $1M+ annually in diverse funding streams
- Expertise in federal (SAM.gov), state, and private foundation applications
- Exceptional writing skills with portfolio of 10+ successful grant samples
- Advanced proficiency in budget development and grant compliance management
- Experience working with healthcare and education nonprofits preferred
- Certificate in Grant Writing (GPC) or equivalent certification required
- Self-starter with remote work experience and strong time management abilities
