Responsibilities
- Research and identify new grant opportunities from federal agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, narratives, and budgets tailored to diverse funders
- Manage relationships with program officers and steward existing funding partners
- Prepare interim/final reports demonstrating program impact and fiscal responsibility
- Maintain accurate grant databases and compliance documentation
- Train and mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
- Analyze funding trends and adjust strategies to maximize success rates
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ secured annually
- Proven success with federal (e.g., SAM.gov) and private foundation applications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio of funded proposals
- Advanced knowledge of nonprofit financial management and budgeting
- Experience managing grants in healthcare, education, or social services sectors
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce NPSP) and grant management software
- Certified Grant Writer (GC) or similar designation preferred
