Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the City's enterprise network and IT infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with federal and state government security standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of new software solutions and systems upgrades.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for complex hardware and software issues affecting city operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for IT hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Develop and document IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, administration, or engineering within a large-scale organization.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, server administration (Windows/Linux), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with government compliance frameworks and cybersecurity best practices.
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
