Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex IT solutions and system architectures aligned with state standards and best practices.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for software development and system upgrades.
- Oversee the deployment of enterprise applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing legacy systems.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive state data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and state agency stakeholders, to deliver high-quality technical outcomes.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for mission-critical applications and infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT analysis, systems architecture, or software development within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization platforms.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL, Oracle, or NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Valid certification such as PMP, TOGAF, or CompTIA Security+ is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain a State of Texas driver's license and pass a background investigation.
