Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot complex federal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Cybersecurity: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive government data; conduct vulnerability assessments and incident response.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to federal regulations and timelines.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support to agency staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and security procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations comply with OMB Circular A-123, NIST standards, and agency-specific policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Additional years of experience may substitute for education.
- Experience: At least 5 years of specialized experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or AWS Solutions Architect.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership on technical matters.
