Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise IT solutions, ensuring high availability and security.
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of the city's database systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct comprehensive system audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage cross-functional projects, acting as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and disaster recovery plans.
- Identify emerging technologies and recommend upgrades to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and extensive professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT project management.
- Experience with government IT frameworks and procurement processes is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, cybersecurity best practices, and disaster recovery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
