Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure solutions to support county operations.
- Lead the planning and execution of software upgrades and system migrations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technical needs and deliver scalable solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT service providers.
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct technical training sessions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in real-time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or systems analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a public sector or government environment is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to county facilities as needed.
