Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and networks for county departments.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Conduct system security audits and implement strict data protection measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology projects on time and within budget.
- Train staff on new technologies and best practices to ensure system adoption.
- Monitor system performance and optimize resources for maximum efficiency.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate IT asset inventories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and disaster recovery planning.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
