Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure and hardware systems.
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff on best practices for system administration and troubleshooting.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive county data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and drive digital transformation projects.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Develop and document technical procedures, policies, and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Proven experience in project management and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
