Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the city's primary data center and network infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects aligned with municipal goals.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support to government staff across various departments.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance reviews to optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to integrate new technologies.
- Mentor junior IT staff and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in government IT or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of network security standards and compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a clear background check and security clearance.
