Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure across county facilities.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex hardware and software issues.
- Develop and enforce IT security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee software licensing and hardware procurement.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to ensure optimal efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of government compliance standards, data privacy laws, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Florida driver’s license may be required for travel between locations.
