Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT infrastructure solutions to support federal agency operations.
- Oversee the security posture of systems, ensuring compliance with NIST, FISMA, and agency-specific security protocols.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party contractors to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical system failures, minimizing downtime.
- Develop and deliver technical training sessions to government staff and junior IT personnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into legacy systems seamlessly.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all architectural changes and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with a focus on Federal or State government environments.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Professional certification such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL v4 is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with executive leadership and technical teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail.
