Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications and database systems to support state agency operations.
- Lead technical projects from conception through deployment, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and implement best practices for software quality assurance and cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of analysts, administrators, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-centric solutions.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for mission-critical IT infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party software integrations.
- Ensure all technical documentation is up-to-date and compliant with state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development, systems analysis, or network engineering within the public sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools.
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License (or ability to obtain one) due to occasional travel to state facilities.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust background clearance.
