Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and infrastructure to support state government operations.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions and system specifications.
- Lead and mentor junior staff members, conducting code reviews and performance tuning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local cybersecurity standards and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime for essential services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, software development, or project management.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET.
- Valid certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, PMP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
