Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and solutions.
- Conduct thorough system analysis and recommend technical improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal government stakeholders.
- Ensure all IT projects comply with federal, state, and district security regulations and standards.
- Train junior staff and mentor team members on best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, architecture, or project management.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
- Valid ITIL certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Ability to obtain a District of Columbia government background check and security clearance.
