Responsibilities
- Manage IT Infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of county-wide server and network systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor strict security protocols and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive government information.
- Project Leadership: Lead technical projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Advanced Support: Provide advanced technical support and guidance to government employees, resolving complex system issues efficiently.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials for internal staff.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to ensure service level agreements are met and technology solutions are integrated effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within the public sector or a large complex organization.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL databases, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders and non-technical staff.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to system maintenance.
