Responsibilities
- Analyze complex system requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for government projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and databases using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including state agencies and internal stakeholders, to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough code reviews, testing, and quality assurance to ensure system reliability and security.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and IT staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime for critical public services.
- Document technical processes and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development or systems analysis within a government or corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with SQL databases and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (if applicable).
