Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT solutions for city departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee system performance monitoring and provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and incident management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations regarding data privacy and security.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed IT projects to optimize budget allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT analysis, system architecture, or a related technical role.
- Proven experience working within the public sector or government environment is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud-based technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Certification such as CISSP, PMP, or CAP is a plus.
