Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure) for state-funded IT initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to Massachusetts state procurement regulations and federal compliance standards (FISMA, etc.).
- Lead cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and subject matter experts, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Manage stakeholder communication, providing clear reporting on project status, risks, and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management within a government, public sector, or highly regulated industry environment.
- Proven track record of leading complex software development or infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in JIRA, MS Project, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
