Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level security controls for city networks and systems
- Lead incident response protocols during security breaches and cyberattacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop security policies compliant with NIST, FISMA, and Colorado state regulations
- Mentor junior IT staff on security best practices and threat mitigation
- Collaborate with city departments on security awareness training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in IT security with government/public sector background
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and SIEM platforms
- Proven experience with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate government clearance
