Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state cybersecurity regulations and data privacy laws.
- Lead a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship and conducting performance evaluations.
- Manage the budget for IT operations, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for system failures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet agency goals.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT project management and system administration.
- Proven experience working with federal or state government systems and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
