Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal network infrastructure and systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to comply with federal standards (FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop IT strategies aligned with agency goals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and junior contractors.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical manuals for regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong understanding of federal compliance regulations (NIST, DFARS, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
