Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensuring compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability analysis on federal networks and systems.
- Oversee the implementation of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute incident response plans for cyber threats.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and security analysts.
- Manage software licenses and ensure all hardware meets federal security requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (required).
- 5+ years of experience in federal information systems security or related technical field (required).
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (preferred).
- Professional certification such as CISSP, Security+, or GSEC (required).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
