Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications and system architecture for state agencies.
- Conduct thorough systems analysis, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and maintenance for legacy systems to ensure continuous operational uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and subject matter experts, to drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal information security standards and data privacy regulations.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior IT staff members and junior developers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development, systems analysis, or IT project management within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or .NET.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
