Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure including servers, databases, and network systems.
- Lead security compliance audits and implement data protection protocols to safeguard sensitive government information.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for internal stakeholders and state agencies.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the deployment of new software and hardware solutions.
- Develop and document technical procedures, policies, and disaster recovery plans.
- Train junior staff and mentor team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT system administration or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and database management (SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
