Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the state’s core server infrastructure including virtualization, storage, and backup systems.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (FISMA, HIPAA).
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and state agencies.
- Lead infrastructure migration projects to cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure).
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Valid State Driver’s License and ability to pass a strict background check.
- Experience with Active Directory, PowerShell, and Linux administration.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices and disaster recovery planning.
