Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize enterprise-level Windows Server environments and Active Directory infrastructure
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems
- Oversee cloud migrations and hybrid cloud architectures using Azure/AWS services
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for complex system outages and performance issues
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system testing and audits
- Lead cross-departmental IT projects ensuring alignment with city objectives and budgets
- Document system configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2016+
- CompTIA Security+ and/or Microsoft Azure Administrator certification required
- Proven expertise in network security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and container orchestration
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to work occasional off-hours
