Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex IT infrastructure, including servers, storage arrays, and network hardware.
- Implement and enforce strict security protocols to ensure full compliance with federal standards (FISMA, NIST 800-53).
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and system administrators across multiple locations.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular health checks, and perform proactive maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure solutions for federal clients.
- Document system configurations, changes, and incident reports according to ITIL best practices.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in systems administration within a federal, defense, or government contracting environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix).
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions (e.g., Okta, Active Directory Federation Services).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
