Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex server environments, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to ensure compliance with federal standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Provide Level 3 technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and critical systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software updates and infrastructure improvements.
- Document system configurations, incident reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train junior staff and ensure adherence to ITIL best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance with eligibility for SCI is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration within a federal or defense environment.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including Cisco routers and switches.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is highly preferred.
- Must possess relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CCNP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
