Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and comply with federal and state regulations.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts for complex network issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts.
- Collaborate with department heads to design and deploy scalable IT solutions that improve public service delivery.
- Perform regular system backups, patch management, and hardware upgrades to ensure system integrity.
- Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with a preference for experience within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS/Azure Cloud certifications is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure with immediate availability.
