Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network infrastructures to support city operations.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce rigorous security protocols and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, analyze data, and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and uptime.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and city departments to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, providing advanced support to internal users.
- Project Management: Lead or support IT projects from conception through deployment, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, infrastructure management, or a related government role.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), virtualization, and modern scripting languages.
- Certifications: CISSP, PMP, or similar IT certifications are highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Legal: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
