Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and development of premier Denver parks, including trail systems and recreational facilities
- Design and execute community-focused events serving 500+ attendees annually
- Lead cross-functional teams in seasonal park revitalization projects
- Manage vendor relationships for landscape and infrastructure upgrades
- Develop data-driven strategies for visitor engagement and safety protocols
- Coordinate with urban forestry and wildlife conservation specialists
- Train junior staff on advanced park management techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Parks Management, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal recreation or park management
- Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation preferred
- Proven expertise in budget management ($500k+ projects)
- Strong knowledge of ADA compliance for recreational facilities
- Experience with CRM systems and community engagement platforms
- Valid Colorado Class R driver's license
- Wilderness First Responder certification
