Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative park improvement projects with $500k+ budgets
- Supervise 10+ seasonal staff and coordinate volunteer programs
- Develop year-round recreational programming for all age groups
- Manage facility maintenance and safety compliance protocols
- Collaborate with city officials on grant funding applications
- Conduct community outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Oversee special events serving 5,000+ attendees annually
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management or related field
- 5+ years of progressive parks & recreation experience
- NRPA CPRP certification or equivalent preferred
- Proven budget management over $100k
- Strong conflict resolution and team leadership skills
- Experience with GIS mapping and facility management software
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for events
