Responsibilities
- Manage Pension Administration: Oversee the end-to-end processing of pension applications, retirement claims, and benefit calculations for government employees.
- Client Consultation: Provide expert guidance and clear explanations to retirees regarding their pension plans, vesting schedules, and payout options.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all administrative actions adhere to strict government regulations, IRS codes, and internal company policies to prevent errors.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date digital records of all pension accounts and beneficiary information.
- System Management: Utilize HRIS and pension software to input data, generate reports, and analyze trends in retirement eligibility.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies in pension data or claim denials promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or government payroll processing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) or similar government pension structures.
