Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the federal pension plan administration, ensuring accurate processing of retirement claims and benefit calculations.
- Analyze complex employee data and pension formulas to determine eligibility and monthly benefit amounts.
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, FERS, and other relevant federal retirement laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and stakeholders, resolving inquiries regarding pension status, statements, and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records for all pension participants, including audits and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with the HR and Legal departments to update pension plan documentation and policy manuals.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits administration, or government retirement services.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA regulations and federal pension systems (e.g., FERS, CSRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in mathematical calculations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background investigation.
