- Conduct benefit audits and resolve complex participant inquiries with precision
- Collaborate with finance and HR departments on pension funding strategies and reporting
- Prepare regulatory filings and actuarial documentation for annual audits
- Develop educational materials for participants regarding retirement planning options
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience with public sector or multi-employer plans
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS Section 415 limits, and Illinois pension laws
- Proficiency with pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance details
- Strong written/verbal communication abilities for participant interactions
- Ability to manage confidential financial data with highest ethical standards
