Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end processing of pension applications, calculations, and disbursements with 100% accuracy.
- Conduct thorough reviews of benefit eligibility and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Advise public employees and retirees on pension benefits, contribution limits, and retirement options.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to audit pension records and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on pension fund status and employee contributions.
- Stay updated on changes in pension laws and legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or public sector HR.
- Deep knowledge of ERISA regulations and state-specific pension laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and pension administration software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and high-level organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
