Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and analysis to support state health initiatives
- Develop and draft legislative proposals, policy briefs, and regulatory recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement evidence-based health programs
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on public health outcomes
- Present complex policy findings to senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with community partners and advocacy groups to ensure inclusive policy development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in health policy frameworks and Texas legislative processes
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coalition-building experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide as needed
