Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for state legislators
- Conduct research using quantitative/qualitative methods and stakeholder interviews
- Develop policy briefs, impact assessments, and legislative summaries
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces and public consultation sessions
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for Pennsylvania
- Present findings to executive leadership and legislative committees
- Maintain accurate documentation of policy development processes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in Pennsylvania state government operations and procedures
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Excel)
- Strong writing skills with samples of published policy documents
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
