Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues related to infrastructure, housing, and economic development
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for city council and executive leadership
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Monitor federal/state regulations and assess impacts on city operations
- Present findings to public officials and community groups
- Manage policy implementation tracking and performance metrics
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government or public sector policy experience
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis and policy modeling
- Proficiency in GIS software and statistical analysis tools
- Demonstrated success in developing actionable policy recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for government clearance
