Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues affecting Raleigh's growth and sustainability
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for City Council and executive leadership
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives on transportation, housing, and economic development
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for public hearings and stakeholder briefings
- Monitor federal/state legislation impacts on local government operations
- Manage policy implementation timelines and compliance tracking systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in policy development and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of North Carolina municipal governance frameworks
- Strong writing skills with published policy documents
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
