Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory frameworks to recommend actionable policy solutions
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Collaborate with state agencies to implement policy initiatives across 67 counties
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess impacts on Florida's operations
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder groups
- Lead cross-functional teams on special projects and policy pilots
- Maintain compliance with Florida Sunshine Law and public records requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- Deep understanding of Florida state government operations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with budget analysis and fiscal impact assessments
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPA, CPAP) strongly preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license
