Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues across healthcare, education, and economic development sectors
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for state agencies
- Coordinate with stakeholders including legislators, advocacy groups, and community organizations
- Monitor implementation of enacted policies and evaluate effectiveness through data analysis
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector consulting
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Deep knowledge of New York State legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated report-writing experience
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Valid New York State driver's license (for occasional travel)
