Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and develop actionable recommendations for city departments
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research and prepare comprehensive reports for leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives and policy implementation
- Monitor federal/state legislation and assess potential impacts on city operations
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear visualizations and executive summaries
- Lead special projects addressing urban challenges like housing, sustainability, and public health
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with executive audience experience
- Knowledge of Philadelphia's government structure and policy landscape
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required for occasional field work
