Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policy issues and recommend evidence-based solutions
- Lead research projects on housing, transportation, and economic development initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and executive summaries for city leadership
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and government partners
- Monitor federal/state legislative changes affecting local governance
- Manage grant applications and compliance for public funding programs
- Present findings to City Council committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal government or public policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing local government policies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts
- Texas driver's license and ability to travel to city facilities
- Experience with budget analysis and grant management processes
