Responsibilities
- Research and analyze state legislation, regulations, and emerging policy trends
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for cabinet-level stakeholders
- Collaborate with interagency teams to implement cross-functional initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Manage stakeholder engagement with local governments and community organizations
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed policy changes

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Strong understanding of North Carolina's political landscape and agencies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive information access
