Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex state policies using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for legislative review
- Coordinate interdepartmental stakeholder engagements and public forums
- Monitor implementation of legislation and evaluate program effectiveness
- Lead cross-functional teams on high-impact policy initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Manage multi-year policy research budgets and resources
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS)
- Deep knowledge of California legislative processes and regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines
- Valid California driver's license (travel required)
