Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex social service policies to identify legislative opportunities
- Develop actionable policy recommendations aligned with Tennessee's 5-year strategic vision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement evidence-based solutions
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess operational impacts
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community partners
- Manage policy implementation timelines and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Social Work, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Expertise in Tennessee state legislative processes
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong written/verbal communication with proven report writing skills
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Experience with Medicaid or SNAP program administration
- Tennessee residency required at time of hire
