Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban issues using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Develop policy recommendations aligned with Boston's strategic goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on implementation strategies
- Present findings to city council members and stakeholders
- Monitor policy effectiveness and prepare progress reports
- Manage grant-funded projects related to public welfare initiatives
- Stay current on federal/state regulations affecting municipal governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government or non-profit policy analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement and public consultation
- Demonstrated success in writing policy briefs and legislative proposals
- Knowledge of Boston's municipal governance structure
- Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license may be required
