Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state-level policy proposals using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Analyze legislative impacts and prepare comprehensive briefings for senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement strategic initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder groups
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and recommend adaptive strategies
- Maintain accurate policy documentation and compliance records
- Lead special projects addressing emerging public challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with legislative experience
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
